Nurse-Family Partnership Education
All nurses and supervisors who are hired to deliver the Nurse-Family Partnership home visitation program are required to complete the NFP education program provided by the country or province where the program is being delivered. This extensive, three phase model of education is only available to implementing agencies who have a license to deliver the program. In Ontario, the model of education has been adapted to reflect Canadian standards of public health nursing practice and any public health nurse, supervisor or manager working in the program will complete the three-phased education model that includes curriculum for all PHNs in addition to supervisor-specific curriculum for those in a leadership role.
