About the study

The NICU-to-Home Transitions Study explores, using interpretive qualitative methods, the transition-home experiences of adolescent mothers with infants discharged from the NICU.

This research will:

  1. explain the challenges adolescent mothers and their infants face during the transition home from NICU,
  2. describe the unique needs of this complex family-dyad, and
  3. elicit patient and stakeholder generated priorities for planning future practice, intervention and policy.
