During the COVID-19 pandemic, public health nurses who have been supporting families through the Healthy Babies Healthy Children and Nurse-Family Partnership programs have shown us what it means to be resilient, creative, and flexible. Nurses working in home visitation programs rapidly transitioned to finding safe ways to connect with families – whether this was learning how to do a virtual visit or by arranging to meet with a family on their driveway! Many families in our communities have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic – and public health nurses have been there to support them in responding to concerns, questions and needs related to infant care, parenting, and the overall health and well-being of all family members. Public health nurses shared their stories with the PHN-PREP team on how they are making a difference in the lives of pregnant individuals and families. In this Nurses Week video – we highlight the important and critical work of public health nurses.

Thank you for all you do! Happy Nurses Week.
