Innovative PIPE Practices Speakers Panel: Locally Developed Resources

Four speakers representing three Ontario Public Health Units, will showcase initiatives developed to support home visiting staff in their use of the Partners in Parenting Education (P.I.P.E.) materials during this interactive Speakers Panel. Locally developed resources to be highlighted include: P.I.P.E. Topic Summaries (including identified and labelled parent handouts and activity cards); Instructional Strategies for each topi (including reference to appropriate NCAST PCI subscale or Family Service Plan goals); and alternate methods of grouping and organizing activities and materials, including individual practitioner “buckets” or “grab and go bags”.

By the end of this event, participants will be able to:

  1. Replicate a variety of innovative, locally developed P.I.P.E. resources for use in their home visiting team.
  2. Select a prepared P.I.P.E. Instructional Strategy relevant to support development in an identified NCAST PCI subscale or as per a Family Service Plan goal.
  3. Organize the necessary P.I.P.E. materials, supplies, and equipment within their agency.
